POLYMER ETCHINGS:
I develop the etching plate with the sun's exposure. No hazardous acid baths are used in the developing process, as in the case with traditional printmaking processes, e.g. copperplate or steel plates artists like Rembrandt van Rijn used in the 1500's. For months I experimented with different "polymer" plates until, through trial and error, I found the correct plate, giving me the results I desired. With this type of developing, I can also use my photographs and transform them into one-of-a-kind fine art etchings.
